The personalization within Dynamics 365 allows you to do quite a lot of configuration of the forms and workspaces, including the addition of PowerApps and workspaces.  This will enable you to add side by side functionality within Dynamics 365 without doing any underlying coding.

In addition to being able to add PowerApps to existing forms, Dynamics 365 has the additional feature that allows you to add PowerApps and web pages as full-page workspaces and even workspace tabs.  This allows us to add new views to our environments.
