BBCG.19.08.D365.1.PDF Configuring Asset Management within Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management - Module 8: Configuring Asset Management Projects (Digital)
The Asset Management module within Dynamics 365 allows you to manage the full life cycle of your enterprise assets, including the acquisition, the management, the location, and also all of the work orders that have been performed against the asset. This module fills in the management of the asset that the Fixed Asset module does not track.
Setting up the Asset Management details are not hard either and this guide is designed to give you step by step instructions to show you how to set up the Asset management area, and also show you how most of the base components of the module work so that you can get you up and running and tracking enterprise assets.
The work orders within Asset management link back to the project management and accounting module within Dynamics 365 and the project area is uses to capture all the costs and activities performed by the asset management work orders.
As a result, there is a little bit of setup that needs to be performed within the project management and accounting area that need to be linked with the Asset management controls before we can create work orders.
In this module we will walk through the different steps that you need to perform in order to get the projects correctly configured for asset management.
