Create Open Ended Filters By Using Ranges With No Beginning Or End

Everyone knows that you can use the “..” to search for ranges of records when you filter out your data, but it becomes even more useful when you skip either the beginning or end filter selection because then you can create a filter for everything before, or everything after a certain value.

It’s like creating your own version of the Neverending (or Neverbegginning ) story.

How To Do It…

If you create a filter with a beginning value but no end value (like “400000..”) then you will see everything from that record on in the system.

If you create a filter with a end value but no beginning value (like “..100010”) then you will see everything up until that record on in the system.
